The 65e has 5 pin planetaries stock. Thats one of the diffrences between the 60 and 65.

Honestly that price sounds a little high if he is not replacing hard parts..

That's a tad on the high side IMO, unless prices have gone up for parts since I had mine done. I spent a little over 3-grand for mine and that included a TCS 2800 converter; the trans was a 4L60E build with 5-pinion planetaries, beast shell, hardened shafts, kevlar bands/clutches, Transgo shift kit, Vette 2nd & Sonnax billet 4th servos, etc etc etc and 12-month warranty. At the time I spent everything I had for the tranny, like I was skimping on groceries for a couple months at the time and I am soooo glad I did it, the hardened tranny is by far the best thing I've done to the truck hands down.

Well i went out there and talked to them today and the quoted price of $3100 includes a complete performance rebuild including hardened input shafts and drums and raplacin almost all of the factory plastic pieces with bearing raced pieces. all new pistons and servos and a performance shift kit. price is installed with tax. so any opinions would be helpful
