jon1178
i just won the auction on some tires on ebay but the more i think about it the more nervous i am getting.. the situation is this the shop selling the tires wants only a cashiers ckeck or money order they dont use paypal. second thing is that they only have a couple of feed back comments but they are positive. here is where it starts to look a little bit shady to this is one of the questions posted on the listing. Q: These are the same tires that I was bidding on last week. did the auction fall through or do u have more than one set? Tom Feb-15-07 A: We had 2 Sets. Good luck with this set - Last One in this size. the funny thing about the question is when i looked in the sellers feedback section there was nothing in there from buyers just sellers. i now maybe there was no feedback left from the person that bought this other set. it is just that the more and more i think about it i get nervous about sending someone a check without no kind of guarantee that i could get my money back if something goes wrong. AUTOGUY
You really should have thought about that before you placed your bid. Now if you do not go through with the deal, you will get neg. feedback as a non-paying bidder.
04silveradoclone07ss
send a money order from the post office, that is tracable and is crime if you tamper with it.
brobradh77
I dont purchase from e-bay but the way I see it I would rather risk getting a neg. feed back than getting ripped off. I do agree you should check them out before you place a bid but hind site is always 20/
JF-03-SS
Look at it this way......just because they don't have feedback as a seller doesn't make them dishonest. I just sold my 1st thing on Ebay like two weeks ago but have been a member for over 3 years.
04CHASE
find the other auction they sold the tires on and contact the buyer of those to see what happened.
SSThunder
How long have them been on eBay? within the pas year eBay has started requiring a credit card to register. I agree with others to check out feedback more next time. I would pay with a USPS money order as mentioned. As a power seller I can tell you I prefer money orders/cashier checks because I don't get hit with any stupid paypal fees. It's bad enough I have to pay a listing fee and final value fee(eBay is greedy as hell IMO). I pay them SOBs nearly a $1k a month, sometimes more based. Hope it works out for you
jon1178
ever since about a 1 and a 1/2 ago i sent a money order to a member on here to purchase some parts and never recieved the parts from the person and after weeks of waiting i never got the parts and told them to just send me the cashiers check i sent them back to me and they claimed they sent it back to me but i never got it back. so now i get a little nervous about sending people checks. but yes i jumped on this auction a little bit to quickly i figure since they have an actual place of business that is open to the public i am going to call them and see if they will take my credit card because if something goes wrong i can always stop payment on the credit card.
