flacofuller
* I accidently posted this in the Tec wanted area. Also, I'm the Detroit area. Greetings, Well is looks as though I will be heading overseas for 6-8 months and GMAC has agreed to terminate my lease early in accordance with the Soldiers and Sailors Relief Act. In short if someone wanted to they could assume my lease, and take it to term and either turn it in or purchase the truck if they were inclined. I'll spell this out as plainly as I can. My truck stickered at $40K+ but in order to have a somewhat reasonable payment I put $6K down. (In hindsight a pretty dumb move on my part) But that did get my payment down to $465 mo. taxes included. I'm leaving in early may and could do the lease xfer as soon as April. As far as the milage requirments, there is 12K + Left. My contract is for 33,750 miles for 27 months. (Equates to 15K per year.) I'm right where I need to be as far as mileage goes. If the xfer happened in early the assumor would be looking at.... 10 Remaining Payments Feb 08 Final Payment Mar 08 Lease Termination. Just to note I don't know what if any fees would be associated with a lease xfer. (I will ask GMAC to waive them, it would make cense that they would do that, as the alternative would be to terminate and take the vehicle back early. As they are required to release me with no termination fees/penalties by law.) If you are interested and wanted more info and pics of the ride drop me a line [email protected]
