AMF_05SS
I was thinking of painting my factory grill to match my truck. I've seen it done, I'd just like to know if there is anything different i'd have to use other than some spray paint. Any help would be great. wody
the krylon fusion paint is made for plastics. i also use primer and adheasion promoter. clean it well and once its clean don't use your bare hands to handle it, finger oil has an affect on the outcome. also if its cold outside you'll get spots and a discolored finish. rivierakid55
are you talking about the grill shell or inserts? reason i ask is mine is painted and i want to go to a chrome setup instead.
pnblwzd
I used "Trim black" spray paint by SEM, available at auto body shop supply stores. It is self priming, sticks to plastic well, and has a nice satin finish. Been on for a couple years now, although I did recently repaint the bottom grille due to rock pits but the uppers still look perfect.
