I realize many of you have been there done that by now but this being my first Bolt-on I had to post the pics...

I purchased through Pace Performance for $345.45 including 3-day UPS

Chrome top was chiped in two corners next to bolt holes.....

Easy 10 min intall also cleaned MAS with electric quick dry cleaner.

Did notice gain in top end performance.

I wonder what swayed you to purchase this CAI? For that price, there are many aftermarket CAI that have proven performance gains like the Outlaw which BTW is alot cheaper. Just wondering?

its gm and a dry type filter, no warranty problems with the dealer

Thanks everybody on the comments. I like it also.

The reason I went with the GMPP is for warrenty issue's. It does use a dry filter and dealer cant say shit about it considering it's a GM product. I did have the K&N drop in filter and I wondered if the oil type air filters allowed more dirt, also oil to enter the intake and mess with the MAF.

When I installed the CAI I did clean th MAF and the truck does seem to run harder :dunno: . Also my buddie had his diesel dyno'd and he made less hp with the drop in K&N vs. the hi flow stock paper filter. Go figure? It was pricey, but it sure is pretty :jester:

Yeah it was expensive but worth it to me . I was talkin to the service writer about CAI and exhaust and he recomended that I did'nt modify my truck because they have refused to do warrenty work in the past on other costumers. The funny thing is they sell lifted trucks with aftermarket exhaust and even a Hypertech programmer. :dunno: ....It's :icon_bs: if you ask me. GMPP CAI I put it on and I dont have to remove it to go to the dealer.
