He nailed the gas. HE said His speedometer was like 3 ticks past 100. Is that even possible without a tune. And dont most trucks Have a governer? shreveportSS Posted February 23, 2007 Report Share Posted February 23, 2007 A standard 2000 Silverado is electronically regulated to 98mph due to the factory tires having a speed rating of 95-100 mph. It does not matter how much tail wind or whatever. The ignition shuts down. With the speed limiter removed, my 2001 has run 139mph on a loooooonnnngggg straight.
