Bonj87
are you sure you really want to do that? IMHO, you open yourself up for mold\mildew\rust with putting a rug in there. i mean, they look great, but dont they just collect water when it gets wet, like a plastic drop in ? its expensive, but well worth it to get spray on bedliner. close to me here in illinois, is care free coatings,... like lineX.. very smooth and durable. blackbeast ss
well i am getting the x2000 wont that limit water in my bed
Bonj87
i guess, but since there would be space between the underside of the rug, and the metal floor of the bed, there is always the possiblity of moisture getting in there. its just my opinion dude, id just hate to see an SSS rust out, or get moldy cuz of a bedrug and no bed liner. ImpoSStor SS
I have BedRugs in both my trucks. I've hauled engines, transmissions, rear axles and alot of other stuff in my S-10 and it powerwashes clean. I installed it in 2000 when it was 2 days old and the bed floor looks like new under it. It was the first thing I installed on my ImpoSStor SS! Because a BedRug is made of marine grade carpet and closed-cell polymer foam it can't hold water, it runs right off. Any fear of mold and mildew are unfounded. Read the FAQ's at BEDRUG, they'll tell you what you need to know. The website says if you try it for 30 days and don't like it you can return it for a full refund. I get nothing from this, I don't sell BedRugs, I'm just a very satisfied customer. To answer your initial question: Yes, it looks like p/n BR-C99SB-K is the correct number. It's available with an embroidered Chevy bowtie from GM under p/n 12499436. misterp
Mine's looking a little ragged now, it's 4 years old but THE best thing for the bed of your truck. My bed underneath still looks brand new and like Imposstor I haul all kinds of parts & furniture & kids etc. And they dry out pretty well, when I bring my truck into the garage after work the bedrug will be dry by next morning And dogs & kids love them. nxtnlne
How do you think the bed rug will hold up in the open? with no tanoe cover?
r8rs4lf
How do you think the bed rug will hold up in the open? with no tanoe cover? I had the same dilema back in the day. From the start, I was always going to get a tonneau cover for my truck. I also contemplated getting the bedrug and/or Line-X. When it came down to it, I went with Line-X and a tonneau cover, no Bedrug. It seems most of the opinions on the Bedrug is either A. people love it, or B. people hate it. There is no in between. I would still get the Bedrug today, but from what I have heard, it will not stick too well on a lined bed. Josh There is a dealer by me (American Campershells) here in Carson and they have a bed out there with a Bedrug that has been siting out there for a while. When I saw it, it looked brand new still. If your interested in the Bedrug, you might want to swing by there and check it out. One more thing, leaving the bed uncovered with a Bedrug doesn't sit too well with me. That's just asking someone to snatch it IMO. Edited February 25, 2007 by r8rs4lf (see edit history)
misterp
How do you think the bed rug will hold up in the open? with no tanoe cover? Mine's been out in the open it's entire life and I think done really well; the very tops of the bed sides have curled inwards, it was like that from the beginning but hasn't gotten any worse in the last 3 years. I think that the original bedrug kits had the velcro too low on the sides and this design may have changed because no one since me has had this issue. Even with this I still love it, I'll definitely be getting another one in time. But I kinda like the beat/weary bedrug - it makes the truck actually look like a TRUCK, that it gets used for it's intended purpose! Mr. P. But I think your right with no cover I'm pretty sure it would be taken in the first week. How do you think the bed rug will hold up in the open? with no tanoe cover?
