If you have booked the entire flight at once, the airlines know which flight your on (Arrivial) and will hold the plane a little bit so you can make a connection. Government regulations dictate that a lay over of 35 minutes is the minimum allowed for a person to Change Planes. Plus if it is in a different building ... That is not fun when you have a 14 month old child, a car seat, a stroller, a backpack, a carry on and a diaper bag. Avoid JFK if all posible.
