Bonj87
I have this opportunity to get my old Gramp's car which ive loved since i was a kid. its a 1970 4 door buick lesabre with a 455 and 50,000 original miles. last time i saw it three years ago, it was in a chicken coop in prattville, AL. interior is mint, exterior is really nice too. my only real issue is how to get it home to chicago.. what does a car delivery cost? i dont have my own trailer to get it myself.. misterp
It's only 750-miles straight up the interstate; I would buy a one-way ticket & drive it back. Assuming the tires, carb, & radiator were in fair condition, that's only a 1-day drive. Figure plane ticket, gas, 4 used tires = $400, I'm sure that's far less than what it would cost to have it transported. Mr. P. jasonm
I checked into getting a car brought up to Midwestern WI from South Carolina -- $575, and I don't have to go get it. They do all the hassle work.

tehoatim
cant rent a car trailer with a ss...... has to be a 2500 or they wont rent ya one. i just tried must be a local policy, I rented one last year in FL using the SS That would be a haul with that boat, I would def search for a pro to do it and be liable for mishaps
orion :: SS
I've rented several times...the HEAVY U-haul car flatbeds. I was towing my 240SX (or a buddies M3)...both cars are +2800lbs...and the U-haul trailers are ~2000lbs...WELL below the SSS's rating at ~7500. The place you went was misinformed. - Brian
