Headlight Wiring

The plug on the back of my right headlight keeps getting hot and melting. I tried a couple generic plugs and the same thing happened. I got one from GM and put a little di-electric grease on it and it lasted longer but it went ou again. Has anyone else had this problem? The head light assemblies were new GM lights about 6 months ago.
