 Ive discovered white overspray on my black SSS. I've tried clay bar, glaze with an orbital buffer and yes even some weak compound. It just will not budge.

Can I use some thinner or other reducer to remove it?

Any ideas?

First thing I would do when the body shop brought back a car that had overspray was to wet sand the area, but VERY carefully because there is uneven parts on the paint. If that doesn't work I mixed a cap full of thinner with 12 ounces of water and sprayed the surface and wet sanded with that. But I wouldn't use that second step unless you are REALLY REALLY good with massaging paint. Hope that helps.

Our detail shop would use spray carb cleaner on a towel and blot at the area to soften the overspray up. You possibly will need to buff the area out when finished....

When I got overspray on my black truck, I used a wax and grease remover that would be used to prep a surface before painting. It might not work if the overspray is old though...

When I had my bumper fixed a few weeks ago, I found a little overspray on the bottom of the bumper. All it took was a little polishing compound (paste) and it came right off. :chevy:

Have you tried medium clay bar? (its red) Its made for heavier compunds, just like using all of the big guns be careful

While I was washing the work trucks tonight, I did notice some overspray on the hood and fender of one of the trucks. I took the heated pressure washer and got real close to it and the overspray blew off. Maybe try this but be careful not to get too close. I also wouldn't do this on any plastic parts of the truck such as the bumper.
