Hmmm sounds like someone got a little hard-up for cash. Or got tired climbing through the windows! :jester:

There were between 70-80 Chargers just like that used (and destroyed) in the orignal series. A guy here at my job used to work at the studios doing the repairs/maint on the fleet of General Lees, and shared some interesting stories. He even has pics to prove it, showing a whole row of them. He said they would use the hemi cars for the big jumps, and 318 cars for everything else. Constantly breaking suspension components and buckling body panels was part of every day business on the set.

I saw that a while back,i know original general lees werent going for that much,i think he is on something. On a side note who saw the auction for the 88 chevy pickup that was on the first episode of overhaulin, the search and rescue truck, the dude was asking 40k.

Let's get things straight here....

A 1969 Charger owned by John Schneider was sold for just shy of TEN MILLION DOLLARS to a guy who's last 5 purchases on Ebay consisted of five pocket knives and two different sets of drill bits sold for one penny?

Lemme think about that....

Good, cause you couldn't get the engine from the head gaskets up for $5,000 if you tried!

If anybody believes this auction, I got a few bridges for sale....

;)

What I am saying, in my eyes the car isn't worth 5k.

You need a quick lesson in finances then!

;)

The engine alone carb to pan could sell for $10,000 in a matter of minutes.

If somebody would sell a C6 Z06 Corvette for $5000 and somebody said it "wasn't worth it" I would have to giggle too.

I wouldn't want to OWN that car for $100,000, but for $5000 I would have to be stupid to say no.
