Bear Posted May 9, 2007 Report Posted May 9, 2007 what is the new part # for the dynatechs?? i know the old ones fried thw wiring They carry the same part number, unfortunately. You just need to make sure before you purchase that you actually are getting the current design. Most of the retailers that sell quite a few systems will have the newer headers, the shops that sell only a few may have some of the older ones on the shelf. I actually got bit by the same part number ordeal by ordering the headers shortly after the design change and having them coated before having seen them in person, then Dynatech telling me that they would replace them with the newer style, only they wouldn't cover the price of the coating or shipping as the fittment of the older design is still correct even if they do burn wires and was not what I especially requested. I can understand why they wouldn't cover the coating as it wasn't their's, but the dollars lost just wasn't worth it for me and I made due. Quote

Wheatley Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 I agree with Bear.Iw ould contact Tbyrne Quote
CNE Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 You can get the old design under the OBX name for $500. I have them and other than having to route the two left rear wires around the header tube, I have had no problems. They are stainless though, not coated. They are direct bolt-in long tubes with cats, although they ain't really cats. Quote
