i was looking for a post that i read a while back about how to remove the bolt i cant seem to find it. Changing the cam next weekend and making sure i have everything and know what the he!! is up before i just jump into it.

I removed mine with a cheater bar and large socket.Also remember you can only use the bolt once so make sure and get a new one

ive got a new one, i did however read ls1howto and it said to get locktite in red medium strength well the only red i can find is high strength and the blue is the medium which do i use?

Use the red. I did a "How-2" a while back on the crank shaft pulley pinning (I think it is a sticky in the how-2 section). I am sorry that the pictures are all out of whack but ever since the site upgrade, I can't go back and edit posts :shakehead: FWIW, the past 3 bolts I used had loc-tite on them but I added additional. Have fun with the final TQ of the bolt :ughdance:

yeah gettign it all the way tight sucks big donkey nutts, this tim earound i got an arp balancer bolt so i could reuse it .

I used a 3/4" impact gun to remove mine, and didn't even have to lock up the flywheel.
