New Head Unit

Recommended Posts

I was thinking about putting a clarion max 675vd double din unit in my truck but when i read up on it a little bit, i found out that it may not work in my truck because of the "factory dash configuration". Crutchfield instalation instructions informed me that it might hit when it flips down. Its not a flip out unit but it does flip down to access the cd port. i guess my question is ...Will it work in my truck even if it flips down?

It would probably work, and at least Crutchfield is very good with returns if it didn't. Although from doing my research, I would recommend Pioneer, Alpine, Eclipse and Kenwood over the Clarion unit. Just my $.02. I went with the Pioneer Avic-D3 and am very happy with the unit. Alot depends on what options you want for the HU

It's single DIN has the 3 position motorized flip down face - I've got the crutchfield bracket for NBS trucks that fills in the slot and centers it up - had it on my yukon - not sure if its the same for the ss.

I'll bump it to the top of the for sale section...Thanks

I remember that post now I looked for it but couldn't find it so was unsure what type of cd player it was. Thanks
