very nice list man . but imo you should have gone with a better converter , behind your blown engine a tbtc would be my last choice espeacially since you built your trans. it would really suck to hear you kille dyour tranny with the tc being the culprit.

I was going off Zippy's recommendation. I gotta believe he knows a thing or two. I really don't get to the track that much anyway. Well see what happens. If I gotta go bigger than I gotta go bigger!

What bad things may I run into with a lower stall like the TBTC. The converter itself or damage to the tranny?

Dammit Chase now you got me worried. First it was the wheels now this. :happysad:

Thanks man.

I agree with Chase. When you get to the level of a supercharger and a built tranny, a TBTC (while inexpensive and good bang for the buck) is marginal IMO. You are going to throw alot of TQ and HP through a converter that was designed to handle half of your power. I would look for certain things like anit-balooning plates, a solid lock-up clutch (or multiple clutches) to name a few. Don't get me wrong, the converter will perform but how long will be the question...

Well got to come home to a big box full of Dynatech headers. :happysad: Awesome, can't wait.

BTW: I have heard some talk of a new design on these headers, does anyone happen to know about this change as far as not melting the plug wires? My box has #115841350.

Thanks Wiz

Yeah, my TBTC blew up within the first six months in mine. The clutch blew up and sent metal through my whole transmission. After a transmission rebuild and a new Yank converter, couldn't be happier.
