ccgoodwrench
I was looking into or if is possible to convert the brake caliber brackets+ calibers from a 3500 series truck or even a 2500 series, I was at a couple of junk yards today but they were closed. If they even have larger brakes then the 12" on the ss? I just think it would be a lot cheaper even if you would buy new calibers and rotors from GM. just wanted to know if this can be done? SS_bnoon_SS
nobody has any thoughts on this Our body style trucks are 8 bolt in 2500 and 3500 series, wouldn't fit. The older 6 bolt trucks previous to '99 have the same bolt pattern, but I'm not sure about hub diameters or even brake design to know if there are any options there. No "cheap" big brake options that I know of for us...
kelleyperformance
you could get the rotors and callipers off of a late 05+ 1500 silverado. the front brakes are MUCH bigger.
