Isn't the establishment "Cheerleaders" near your area? :jester:

On a serious note, my brother's new (less that 6 months old) Dell XP laptop ($2700) hard drive crashed and cannot be restored. It is cheaper to buy a new laptop than have a new HD put in it along with an OS. Just out of warranty as well.

Recently, Dell had actually gone back to selling PCs with WinXP on them. There were a lot of customer complaints because not a lot of programs are Vista compatible yet. Maybe they are still selling laptops with XP. Have a look at their site. I've been using Dell PCs for a long time, and have no real complaints on the hardware.

You are seeing no options for xp because you are looking on the home side of things, look in the buisness side of either dells or toshibas web site and you will find many laptops with a xp pro choice. Vista whi.le nice looking is just a complete resource hog and is having all kinds of trouble right now with compatibility issues.
