Black2003SS
Ok, In HP Tuners, when you look at torque management in the transmission window, there are two options, normal and performance below the torque reduction heading. I was comparing those (I'm 100% new to this btw) and the normal mode has all zero's in the chart when you click on it. But the Performance chart is exactly the same as the stock tune. Could this be hurting me off the line? What would happen if I lowered those values? Any input? Thanks. It would make more sense to me to have zeros for the performance and stock torque reduction for regular driving, maybe I just simply dont know what I'm talking about:) I'm searching and trying to learn new things over on hptuners forum as well. chpspecial
Normal is for regular driving, Performance is your Tow/Haul button. So when you hit your tow/haul button it uses the parameters set in Performance. What some people do is have tame settings in their normal table and use the agrassive shift points when in tow/haul mode, that way they have everyday confort in normal mode and use Tow/Haul or Performance for the track. Black2003SS
Awesome, that clears up alot for me! Having TM in performance mode is good then for when I tow my boat, less harsh on the trans. I'm thinking of attending one of those EFI training classes, found the guy on hptuners forum. I want to learn as much as possible about these systems.
