in staging lanes for bracket...ran a [email protected] with a 2.163 60'... I'm cleless again...maybe I just need to accept what it is and get the blower done...unless there are other problems I have not found...

Since you haven't got the shift kit in yet - are you still running with torque management in the PCM tune?

The previous best of 14.74 was in 68 degree weather. The new best was 69 degrees. This is all according to my temp guage in my mirror.

I only took one log because I didnt want to mess with the laptop while bracket racing... The log I took was the 14.74 run at 91.7mph and a 2.16 60' run. It showed the mysterious 5-6* KR showing up in Second and Third. There is zero KR in first which is very strange...What would cause false knock? I'm wondering maybe if I have a bad injector? Would clogged cats cause KR? I have no header leaks. Replaced plugs, wires...

Here is what I am also thining...besides having the tune adjusted, I'm thinking of taking the 42lbs injectors off of my radix kit and swapping those onto the motor to see if the KR goes away. How long would that swap take? Two hours? Should be plug and play...that way that would be one more thing I can rule out...I want to swap out my coil packs as well...but I dont have the coin to do that and the trans and everything else I have going on right now. Factory coils are $300/set and MSD's are $600...which to my understanding there is zero difference.

I'll send that log over tonight Zippy.

could you have bad knock sensors??

I would not mess with the injectors untill you firgure out the knock

I dont think Zippy misses much, so I would continue to check stuff, but if the knock sensors are bad then you should just start from scratch and get the radix on since you have to take the intake off, could you fry a coil pack form the misfires??

I am glad I did the shift kit and TBTC together, trans work done till I blow this one up or am ready to put the better sererator plate in...

For the record, I dont think its the tune...I've had an experienced powertrain engineer/friend look at it and he said it should be dead on, if not on the conservative side. I think zippy knows what he is doing as well...it might just be that $1.00 part somewhere that is wreaking havoc...you know how it goes...

Wow...hmmm...we are still tuning with the original file. I dont think I needed a CASE relearn as the file was not built from scratch or a completely new pcm. I kept the pcm in the truck and zippy sent me a modified file that I pulled from the original pcm and emailed him. He modified that one and sent it back. I used HP Tuners...

But that is interesting and something I never considered...

Is the ss missing any? My times went from 14.47 to over 14.8 just on that. The 14.47 run was missing too but not as bad. I didn't get any runs after I fixed that problem but it ran noticably(sp?) stronger.
