Boost
Is the AWD harder on the tranny than RWD? Are there any common transmission problems that can cause a bang into 2nd gear only? Are the AWD trannies more sensitive to line pressure? Sorry about all the questions. I noticed that just like my Syclone, many of these AWD SS trucks are experiencing tranny problems when heavily modified. I'd like to get some general information on the issue. Thanks in advance. misterp
Yes due to the 100% traction (no tire slip) the AWD trucks eat 4L60s for lunch. Banging into second is usually caused by not having the 2nd accumulator charge enough to offset the hit of the 2nd servo; you only find this in modified shift bodies. Mr. P. Thanks for the info Mr. P! That makes sense. There is a good chance the truck in question is modified, so in that case I am pretty sure I can tune it out.
