NightCreeperSS
I have been asking and searching and every shop has a differnt opinion so I figured that the SS site would be the best place to ask. My questions is it better to have two single in single out mufflers, or one duel in duel out muffler
KJT13
for the application i want, i'm going true dual with a single muffler dual in/dual out (camaro style muffler) to exit before the right rear tire.
Schmids5.3l
I've heard both as well. The shop I went to back in the day for my old Ford said a dual in/out muffler eliminates the point of running (or attempting to run) true dual exhaust. I'm sure the differences in the end will be minimal for most applications, but I would imagine an X or H pipe with 2 single in/outs with would yield optimal results. KJT13
that was my initial thought when he said the two in/two out muffler. when i was thinking true dual, i was thinking two cats, two pipes, two mufflers, two tailpipes. the reason he suggested that muffler was because i want to exit infront of the rear tire and thats the one that he generally uses.
