in actuality temecula isnt one of the more expensive places to live in california is how i should have phrased it but probably a heck of a lot more expensive than a great portion of this fine country.

either way welcome to cali adrian! youll be a couple hours away from chase and all those socal guys now.

Temecula is nice. EFI University is located there.

chpspecial lives nearby in Hemet. 12'srock and Chase aren't too far away.

Check into Escondido as well, as the weather will be a bit better than Temecula.

I live 25 minutes from temecula and its a very nice city. A little expensive, but in cali everywhere is expensive now a days. Your gonna love pendelton though. Very nice base and right on the beach. Im actually going to the beach on pendleton this weekend. Welcome to cali.

Its definately going to be different for me. I grew up in a real slow paced town in Texas, then I joined the Marine Corps and ended up here in North Carolina for the past few years. Now I'm headed to Cali and I'm not 100% sure where I'm going to be actually moving to just yet. I'm keeping my options open as of right now. I'm looking forward to meeting all the So Cal guys.

My orders to Tampa, FL were cancelled on me. I am now heading to Camp Pendleton, CA. I will be there in September. I'm looking in the Temequela area and its hella expensive out there. Anyone from that area?

Adrian

If your looking at Temecula, just a few miles away is Hemet, its a smaller less expensive town but a little further drive to Pendelton.

Me personally, I live in Ridgecrest. If you get sent to the detachment at China Lake, the cost of living here is very low but the summers are pretty intense.

BTW, Welcome to CA, the Land of Fruits and Nuts.

I'll check out Hemet to see what they have there. I've been to Ridgecrest before. I spent the summer of 2002 there and it wasn't that bad. I was with the Marine "Hover" detachment there for 3 months. I had a good time while I was there and I hope this move to Cali is just as much fun.

Your one sick puppy if you enjoyed Ridgecrest in the summer, HA

I know exactly where you were. I worked for the corp on the AV8 and AH1 projects for about 10 years.

Actually if you enjoyed Ridgecrest you should love Pendelton

I'm from a very small town in TX that has a population of around 1,000 people. There was never anything to do there. So, when I was stuck in Ridgecrest for that summer, I was all over Cali. I went to LA, SantaMonica, San Diego and so forth, it was a blast. I was there in Ridgecrest working with the AV-8B Harriers on the "Oscar" program. I was in support of them as I worked as an Airframes mechanic. I'm still looking for places out there online, which isn't too bad. I'll be heading out that way in the near future to check the area out.

No, but I think he was there at the same time. My name is Sgt Adrian Serrano. Small world for both of us to have been there at the same time.
