Chevrolet SS
so I got tired of not having shit for subs in my truck (never really have money to buy what i want but the 1 10"CVR wasent cutting it) so I put 4- Infinity Ref 10's in last night I was actually really surprised how well it sounds, but now my roof vibrates like a big peice of flopy sheet metal lol... I guess its time to pull the headliner down....
misterp
Yup. Most just add dynomat, but more serious SQ guys will take 1/4" x 2" aluminum strap and fiberglass it to the underside of the roof to add rigidity, then dynamat over that. Don't forget to also reinforce the back wall of the cab, it's also a chief offender. Mr. P. Another suggestion - a lot of guys will adhere the inner roof bracing to the roof skin with expanding foam; that keeps the internal roof bracing from chattering against the roof panel. Chevrolet SS
yea that was the plan on the roof already...... its just a pain in the ass lol... I did the cab wall a wile back when I put some amps back there its fully dynamatted and then has a carpeted sheet of maysonite(sp) over it
