RusherRacing
I am entered in to run the SORC www.sorcrace.com the beginning of next month with my eclipse (set up for road racing). But I have been having alot of issues with it this summer and spent $$$ fixing crap. So I started thinking about running my SSS (aka tow vehicle), entry fee would be cheaper and I wouldn't have to purchase a bunch of extra safety equipment (fire suit, nomex underwear, gloves...). Its a completely stock 03 AWD. Do you guys think the truck could average 90 mph over 55 miles through the sand hills of NE. (I know the driver can but can the truck) I have never driven it at those speeds, is it responsive at speeds over 80mph? Most of the time when I am on the highway I am towing my race car. It tows nice at 80mph not sure how much is left in it though or if it falls off shortly there after?
packjh
well ive been 90 thru some s cuvers before and i tell you one thing.......FFFFFUUUUNNNN i think im just a lil to far on the edge, if i was you id go in a big parking lot and try and do doughnuts to get a feel for the how the truck feels during body roll and then go find a turn and hit that sucker fast....not to fast but work your way up.... this is all just advice from a guy who drives a truck like its indy car no seriously since you already seem to have experince id just go test it out real quick. FireRescueSS
Just make sure the SS has tires that work great with the surface your racing on....
