Wizard
OK so I picked up a brand new P1sc to replace my used unit. I have it all apart and have a question about the belt size. The new kit came with a 111.5 inch new belt. It previously had a 110.5 inch belt. It runs a smaller pulley (3.60) about 11 psi. Which belt should I use??? Wizard
If someone really has a good idea that would be helpful. It would take about 2.5 hours to put both belts on and take them back off.
04CHASE
well if the superchargers are the same size and the pulley is a bit smaller than i would use the smaller belt. why does it take so long to change the belt?? mine can change in about 2 minutes. Wizard
The belt is strung through the mounting points of the brackets. They actually have to be undone one at a time. Not a really good design.
04CHASE
yeah that is pretty stupid. if the blowers are the same size and the pullies are too then the same belt size is fine.
smithl3
Wiz, I just went outside and checked mine. I have a P1SC and a 3.65 pulley and I run a 110.5" gatorback. If I remember right it was a little tight to put that belt on but you are .05" smaller so it should be that much easier. Good luck, hopefully I responded to you in time to not have to do trial and error. Lucas
Wizard
Got it done. couldn't pass up the deal I got for a new polished p1sc. So I just got it on and all is good. I am going to send the old unit in to get rebuilt. So now I have a second unit that will probably be for sale soon. OR I could put in on my TBSS......Nah better not.
