Black2003SS
Yesterday I made the decision to install my radix and put the L92 head/cam swap on hold...buddy of mine is taking them off my hands. Woke up today and had a good breakfast, broke into the truck around 11am...took a lunch break, a pizza/dinner break, had my girlfriend sittin there watching me and actually helping when needed! She said something about owing her big time...it was kind of comical to have her sitting up on the radiator support with me trying to wrestle the radix unit into place...lol. We did it. Finally about 11pm, I finished wrapping everything up. Overall I would say I have about 8-9 hours of real work into the install. Not bad for my first time doing this. Anyway, forgetting it was zippy3 weekend, I totally forgot I needed a new tune. Called zippy and he returned my call quickly, said he would get to work on it tonight...sounds like he took a siesta, and then abotu 10:35pm, got an email saying here it is...poor guy is tired from the event he forgot to attach the file! Oh well. I'm taking tomorrow off and will call him in the morning. Just have to splice the IAT, finish filling the coolant and she is ready to be tested for leaks and a shake down run. One small step on m way to the 12's... Next up? GT2-3 cam install... I think I will be farming that one out...I cant spend a whole weekend on it and I know it will be more involved than the radix. Black2003SS
My goal is a 13.0 with a 2.9" pulley and current mods, right now it has a 3.25" pulley on there...mid 13's I suppose. Hoping for a 12.7ish with the cam...maybe over the winter I will upgrade the fuel injectors and do the 90mm J-tube conversion, provided everything holds together... Time to wrap this puppy up... Glad you got it done. I think it's fun to do your own installs. I say your goals are reachable. I ran a 13.69 with the stock pulley and 80 degree weather after the sun went down. Boost is addictive. Are you going to run in street form at the track?

Black2003SS
OH MY GOD! Thats is all... Ok, seriously...just took it for the shakedown run...about a mile and half around the block. No leaks. I only went 75-80% throttle and was seeing 5psi of boost (hooked up a boost gauge, it is really red neck rigged...lol...I need to take a picture of it! I have the gauge in the pod, but the pod is just attached to the factory pillar with paper clamps, office papaerclamps! so its a little white collar redneck...lol). I an AFR gauge that I might hook up as well. I'm going to run down to summit in a day or two and pick up a fuel pressure gauge and 3 pillar pod, protect the investment. Right now I have HPT to tell me I'm knocking from a lean condition, but I cant always have my laptop hooked up. This truck now rocks...some fine adjustments to make with wiring being tucked away etc. and it is ready to rock a WOT throttle run.
