Cladding bent back

Recommended Posts

about a month ago, the cladding on the bottom drivers side came out a little bit from the heat and i had no idea it was out. so i opened the door not knowing and it was out, and the cladding bent back when it pushed against the front fender edge. and its been getting worse ever since. so i took it to the dealer today and they said it will be 250 for the cladding and another 200 for the paint and installation. :banghead::banghead: this is BS, it's not my fault the cladding poped out from the heat. they probebly put the damn cladding on wrong when they installed it or something. has anyone else had a similar problem like this. this really pissed me off when i found out how much it was going to be. and i have to get it now because i can only open my door less than halfway or else it will bend even more. this really chaps my ass. :banghead: its aggrivating as hell

Definitely warranty issue; make them replace it. I have the same issue on my cladding, not from GM originally but from a repair afterwards, the body shop put the cladding too far forward and when warm it will expand and slightly rub the front fender edge.
