peteleonardo
hows everyone doing, this is a great site and im happy to be a part of it. well first things first. i just got my 04 ss black, the guy that had it before me went crazy with the pin stipeing and flames all custome work and well done. he also put a gibson exhaust on it which i know nothing about. i was planing on buying a suv like i taho but this caught my eye. i really would like to do a super charger or chip or both but dont know how to go about it. any sugestions would be apreciated. at the same time due to my business and profession, Of executive protection and bodyguard work i need to keep it classy and profesional if u know what i mean. at the same time i need this vehicle to perfom if i get into a jam... also if any one id from ct drop me a post. montanass
Welcome to the site! Sounds like the truck has a decent set of pipes on it, but if your looking for some good performance with a supercharger the Radix Magnacharger MP122 would be the blower for you. You would have to upgrade the fuel system and get a custom tune (none of that handheld crap). If your working on a budget start small and work your way up to a blower. A cold air intake (Outlaw or Volant), a custom tune: either dyno or mailorder (Zippy, Wheatley, etc.), some long tube headers (Dynomaxx, Pacesetter, etc.) and some transmission upgrades (shift kit, stall torque converter, etc.) would be awsome supporting mods for a supercharger. Good luck man, you should get in touch with usabodyguard, he's a member here and as you could probably already tell, he's in the same line of work you are in Edited July 26, 2007 by montanass (see edit history)

FireRescueSS
Yes, several of the members around here really do put these trucks through alot of crap, and they handle it all in stride, usually! You'll find the AWD traction is second to none, and that the engine is a great building block. The tranny seems to be the only weak link, but to it's defense, with all the power, with all that traction, you know something's got to give eventually. The SS gets alot of attention, and looks clean, with all of the color matching paint instead of chrome. You'll enjoy it.

04CHASE
great just what we need another body guard. j/p first thing i would do is list your budget and hp/tq goals or 1/4 mile goals. then we can make a suggestion and the best part of this site is the search function . it will greatly help you in learning and making the best choice for yourself.
