dantwomey
This picture isn't perfectly clear but I think it serves the purpose. A careless brother-in-law recently dented my passenger side door. I've heard of 'paintless dent removal' where they suction dents out. Does anyone have any suggestion on the best way to remove this unsightly door ding? Regards, Dan
PladdPezzPunk
it's really hard to say from the pic. those guys can do a perfect job if there is no creasing in the dent. i've had it done before. the only down fall is from the stretch and contract, it can crack the paint which you really won't see for a couple years but definately a cheap fix for the meantime
pnblwzd
I've used a dent remover service once, and was pleasantly suprised at how nice it came out. You can't even see it now, and it's on a black car.
SS_bnoon_SS
That looks like an easy one for them to remove. I've used them for hail damage and they saved me thousands!!!
Fireman31
That is a perfect candidate for paintless dent removal.......on a dent like that they will use a system of rods and mirrors to massage the dent out from the back side of the panel........like PladdPezzPunk said, the only bad thing is that the paint will crack in the future from the metal flexing. RidinRimss
yeah my buddy's wife has a porshe boxster and it got hit with a baseball on a bounce and she brought it in and paid $85 and it took 30 minutes maybe a lil less. but yeah if it was any closer to the edge of your door you probably would have had to beat up your bro in law but they should be able to pop that one out for you

Where do you get the info that the paint will crack in the future.....NOT TRUE at all. The only way that the paint will crack is if the guy doing the work cracks it. I should know I have been a pdr guy for 10 years. (aka Wizard...like Dent Wizard) Yes, that dent will fix PERFECTLY,' Wiz

The only way that the paint will crack is if the guy doing the work cracks it. My neighbor had 2 small dents removed on the fender of his Navigator 3 years or so ago, Memorial Day weekend while I was mowing the lawn he stopped me and asked me to look at his SUV. The paint was beginning to flake off in the same spots where the dents were located. Maybe the dent guy did crack it, I couldn't tell you. All I can say is that I have seen it happen....... Wizard
Sometimes, a dent guy will "spider crack" the clearcoat. He usually wet sands it so it is not noticable at the time, then later on...who knows. Anyway, just DO NOT let any dent guy drill a hole in that door to get to the dent. It should be gotten through the window opening. Good luck Wiz

Wizard
That obviously works on big dents, but the small ding you have will not POP the same way. I have heard of everything, like dry ice on a hot day. Was pretty cool though. Now all I have to do is throw all of my tools away and get a hair dryer and some icey spray. Cool now I can work out of that new Z06 I want to get. LOL Wiz
