JF-03-SS
I won a auction on July 5th for some brand new 24" wheels/tires (mounted balance the whole nine yards) for a very good price. So I send the guy two postal money orders express mail (for wheels/tires/shipping/insurance) and he signs for it on July 7th. So after going back and forth w/ emails he says they were sent July 16th through USPS (yes the post office). Couple more emails by me asking for tracking #'s or copy of receipt of them being shipped. Nothing but him saying they will be there within 5 business days. Anyways, I go to USPS and they say they do not ship items that weigh more then 70 lbs so it is bullshit that they were shipped. So he emails me and says they have been concidered lost though USPS on July 27th and he want to give me a full refund. This has been reported to ebay. So what is your advice/knowledge on what ebay can actually do? I think he sold them for way less then wanted to and shipping was way more then he charged me for and he just waited awhile and is trying to return my money. What do I do? I want what I bought. HELP! Thanks~ Edited July 28, 2007 by JF-03-SS (see edit history)
AUTOGUY
If you had these problems already, I would take the money back as soon as you can and find an honest seller. Do it before he changes his mind about refunding it to you.
SS_bnoon_SS
For the most part, I'm with you, but... Since you used USPS money orders, take FULL advantage of it. Contact your local Post Master General and let them know the situation. They will launch a full investigation to contact the shipper and validate or deny the shipper/seller's claims of actual shipment. Post Office Money Orders are THE safest way to send funds as they are a FEDERAL crime to tamper with or otherwise commit fraud, plus the fact that he claims he shipped them via USPS, which is another Federal crime if he indeed is trying to commit fraud.
