zanis520
hey guys so im gettin my DVD/NAV unit installed on thurs, and i figured why not have them just do the big 3 while they're at it. i used the search option but couldnt find the How To. all i found was a link for it on car domain, but it didnt work. the shop has HEARD of the big 3, but doesnt know exactly what to do. so if anyone has the link for the big 3 or can give me a detailed how to, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance. Holty
the big 3 is just adding additional larger cables to the electrical system. all you need is a larger cable from the alt to the battery positive, a larger cable from the battery negative to the frame, and a larger cable from the engine block to the frame. WidowKiss
IMHO, if a car audio shop doesn't know of the big 3, they are probably a fly by night operation (in business for less than 5 years) or one that just does the basics (and they probably botch 1 out 10 jobs that are "easier" or ones that are more complex or complicated half the time).
