How much?

I've been thinking about getting a 2003-2005 Black Chevrolet Silverado SS Truck. How much should I expect to pay for a really good used truck with leather and power everything, and possibly a sunroof if they offerred those. How much horsepower do these trucks have and what kind of gas milege should I expect to get?

If I do decide to get one I was planning on putting some 22 or 24" black wheels with chrome deep dish lip wheels and black everything out except for a billet grille. Please post pictures of your Black SS's!:) Thanks for looking!

Thanks,

Derek

You can expect to pay anywhere between $20,000-$28,000 depending on the year, mileage, condition of the truck. I bought my 03' in 2005 with a little under 9k on it and paid $27k. They wouldnt budge on the price, but i got them to throw in the trailer package. Stock with 345 ponies, but take a look around this site a bit and youll see it doesnt take much to get closer to 400. Stock mileage is around 14 city/16-17 highway.

Aweosme choice though. Youll be heard pressed to find someone on here tell you they arent happy with their truck.

I paid $31K for mine new. Its an 06 and I had an aftermarket moonroof put in (it slides into the hroof not stick up above it when retracted fully). As for HP 345 is not the rear wheel HP thats at the flywheel. Rear wheel is about 280-90ish if I had to guess. I have everything blacked out now headlight, parking lights, and tails w/ 3rd brake light. I have pics in here somewhere. My sig shows my truck before all that obviously.

2003-2004 didn't have the sunroof option. I'm not sure about 2005 but I think it was offered. Price could be anywhere from mid teens to high 20's. It all depends on the condition and how bad the dealer wants to move it. If you're looking for a 2WD SS then you're limited to 2005 or newer models. The AWD models will probably show less HP to the wheels than the 2WD models. We've got more crap for the power to go through so we tend to lose more.

I bought mine July 29th on a rainy day, drove 2.5 hrs across the state to pick it up. They were asking 23,9 with 24,501 on the clock but I got the stealership down to 22,9 and they gave me 8 for my 00 5.3 with 103K on it. 03 SSS Onyx Black AWD with 4.10's, 6 CD changer ..every option avalible on the 03 model. There were some minor things wrong with it that were easily fixed. I was a little suprised while driving to work that I was taching 3K @80 MPH but I didnt expect it to get good MPG.
