RacerJJ
I finally got around to changing my oil yesterday (I seem to have trouble staying on top of it now that my SSS isn't a DD anymore). I last changed it in March and I ran it a quart low (5) to try to go faster to fit into a class at Super Chevy. The quart low thing is an old Stock Eliminator trick that I thought I would try. Well, I forgot that I did and between then and now I've probably logged close to 100 runs down the track. My oil when I drained it looked like a thin caramel syrup and it appered to very dirty. It didn't smell right either. Note to self...Going quicker isn't as fun as a damaged motor! I hope I didn't hurt her too bad. I filled her back up with SIX quarts of Mobil 1 5w20 and it appeared to run really strong on my test drive so I think I dodged a bullet just in time.
