12'SROCK
Yeah...those kits are available at jsut abotu any murrays, auto zone, advance auto parts stores, summit, jegs, etc for about the same price. They are not bad kits, great alternative to figuring out hwo to switch to real bradied stainless. That kit is basically high tensile cloth, not real stainless steel weave, and one winter will destroy it as they are really meant for show cars, etc. I've seen hundreds of kits on classic cars at car shows, but if its a daily driver, I recommend against it unless you dont see snow, alot of rain, etc. Plus, to install them, you have to drain your radiator as they slip on over the existing hoses. Every hose you put them on, has to be disconnected/drained, etc. Do it up and send us pics, should only take you a couple hours. We put them on my uncles 59' CHEVY IMPALA and they were a PITA............... Edited August 23, 2007 by 12'SROCK (see edit history)
CaliChevyV8
The Hardest part is drainin all the hoses right?
Black2003SS
Then refilling, purging, etc. If you decide to do your heater core lines, that will also require extra attention as well. And if you get radiator fluid on those kits, they could stain them, as well as fuel will also.

bagged7104ss
We put them on my uncles 59' CHEVY IMPALA and they were a PITA............... I put those on my 71' Short bed, they were the biggest pain in the ass. They looked good for a while, then got dirty under the hood and never looked the same. Just put a polished radix on and your half way done .
CaliChevyV8
I'll probably just have some of my stuff painted greystone metallic like my truck. The usual - engine covers, fuse box and I don't know what else. Anybody have any pics of thier color matched engine bay? Never mind guys, I'll search around for some pics. I'm sure there are a ton on here. Edited August 23, 2007 by CaliChevyV8 (see edit history)

CaliChevyV8
Anyone know about how much it is to have the three engine covers, fuse box lid and radiator shroud painted? Just a general estimate?
