packjh
I decided to buy a gps for my trip out. I bout the lawarence i way 500c. It made two mistakes so far but one of them is actually correct somebody just labled our streets backward in real life. The lancelot east and west are correct in direction on the gps but in real life they are swapped and the east is west and you get the point. The other mistake is because two roads were so close together its ridiculous. And hard to distnguish anyways. It stores up to 10 g of music 20g of memory is us and canada capable. Tells me when to turn and sorts of stuff. Has walmart programmed into the face so i do a quick search for them. If anybody is making cross country trips i would recommend this. The regular price was 799 but i got it for 319 not a bad deal if you ask me. Hopefully this thing dont get me lost tho.
fox_forma
i bought a GPS before I moved out west for my trip. Went with the tom tom ONE I think its called. Hasnt failed me yet. It would fit perfectly right where our SS emblem is near the radio but I havent figured out a way to turn it on if I mounted it in there. It sits perfectly flush and looks like its meant to be there just no way of getting to the power button.
Vortec MAX
I love GPS. I have the Garmin NUVI. That thing is my most prized posession. Mine is hooked up to the BOSE system so I can play MP3's through the truck's system, and hear my turn by turn directions from Karen (female voice with Australian accent) through the BOSE system too. When I went to Florida for two weeks this summer, it was a lifesaver. It did try to turn me the wrong way up a one way street in downtown Tampa once, but I figured it out. I don't think any of them are perfect. Mike Edited August 27, 2007 by Vortec MAX (see edit history)

KJT13
i could have used one Saturday. my co-pilot only steered us about 30-45 min off course. turns out, if we kept going down 84 we could have taken 684 to the Tappan Zee Bridge. hmph.
