perk03z06
Noticed that I have a small orange puddle under the front of the truck over the weekend ... Praying it's just kool-aid, I move the truck & get a closer look ... it's DexCool ... I have a small leak from (I believe) the weep hole, can't really tell for certain. Has anyone replaced their water pump yet? Was it a project? How much is a new one?
Chevcup47
ive heard they had a problem with a few from the factory. never done one but a buddy that works at the dealer here said it wasnt fun and also pricy. but then again i always think (well no really wish) my SSS parts should cost around the same as my older chevy stuff . kaotik1
If it turns out to be costly, what about switching to an electric pump?
wody
just make sure it is the from the weep hole, it is pretty common for the gaskets to leak. it'll be a biatch to remove the fan if you don't have the tools and an air hammer. 04CHASE
imo opinion its east i used a big hammer and wrench to knock off the stock clutch fan. then its 6 10 mm bolts holding it on. w/p's cost about 150 bucks i beleive. ive changed quite a few just make sure your in an area where the water can go because it is messy.
