NashSS
I'm due for a oil change on my truck and last time I used mobil1 truck and suv oil with some lucas oil stabilizer. Truck is running just fine but I'm curious about the new Q Torque power and Q Horsepower. Obvously I would get the torque power because its for trucks and such but i was just wondering if anyone has used or have any opinions on it? Its just that mobil 1 is just so expensive Im curious about other oils that are also synthetic but cheaper.
Fireman31
Synthetic oil is pricey no matter the brand. I use Mobil 1 and am very happy with it. Q Truck and SUV oil is designed for work trucks ie. heavy loads and towing, and Q Horsepower is more or less for sports cars. The Q oils are different blends. You use which ever you feel comfortable with, any name brand synthetic oil is probably fine. I usually look for sales on Mobil 1. Back for the entire month of July, Advance Auto Parts had 1 gallon jugs of Mobil 1 on sale for $17.00, which is under $5.00 per quart, a great deal to say the least. I bought 6 gallons at that price, enough for 4 oil changes. Edited September 16, 2007 by Fireman31 (see edit history)

Hankg42
While I'm sure it is not always true, I believe "you get what you pay for". I run Mobil 1 5W-30, and a K&N oil filter. I'd rather be safe than sorry. Just my old fashioned way...
