Vortec MAX Posted September 20, 2007 Report Share Posted September 20, 2007 I think the SS trucks are very similar to the Vortec MAX trucks. I know there are differences in the front suspension, but I don't know the details. My Vortec MAX truck has 10 up front. 6 are on the tie rod, and there is one at each of the four ball joints. Used Mobil 1 synthetic on my old S10 over 150k and never a tie rod or ball joint replaced when I sold it. Use Lucas red synthetic now, sticky shit stays put.
