desertss Posted October 8, 2007 Report Share Posted October 8, 2007 today my tach is stuck, when ign is off it reads around 2500 when i accelerate it goes way past 6000. but never drops below 4500 everything else works ok. how do i fix it? riddle Posted October 8, 2007 Report Share Posted October 8, 2007 Just a thought, I would pull the lens off, and pull the tach needle off it's pin and reset the tach needle to zero, and try that first. I intsalled white face guages on another vehicle and ran into that type of problem i didn't press the needle on far enough.(those clusters often go on the fritz too, a dealer can run a guage sweep w/factory scan tool and give you a better idea.) ~Dan Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

desrtrat Posted October 8, 2007 Report Share Posted October 8, 2007 today my tach is stuck, when ign is off it reads around 2500when i accelerate it goes way past 6000. but never drops below 4500 everything else works ok. how do i fix it? mine was doing the same thing. took it in to the dealer and they replaced it under warranty. bad cluster.. they also did a crank relearn on it also for free i also have a tune and NO issues to the tune or from the dealer. took about 30 min to do.
