Know to my question is how do you open the petcock. Is there a special tool or can I insert a screwdriver and twist it to open the drain. BenKey Posted November 3, 2007 Report Share Posted November 3, 2007 None came with a hose attached that I have seen -'03 and beyond. Although the little loop is on the side to hold your hose. I went and got the hose and just had the guy give me the hose off a '99 5.3L, which was the last truck I had with the hose. Mine was stiff.
