BrettSS Posted November 27, 2007 Report Share Posted November 27, 2007 My father and I are going to be getting a truck this winter and I've always loved the Silverado SS so I've been pushing him hard to get one . Hes actually taking time into looking at it and asking dealers around town, but hes still a toyota guy and is looking at the Tundra too. Not new but 2006/2005 ish. Ill be getting the truck for college next year but Ill be going to europe for two years so I am wondering if I should get the SS now and possibly re-build the engine because he will probably put some milage on it so he wants to get the Tundra more. detjoe Posted November 27, 2007 Report Share Posted November 27, 2007 I have a SSS in my drive and a 07 Tundra in my brothers. the tundra is nice but not a truck. the bed is crap it is so high you need a ladder. If he does get an SSS you will have better luck fixing it, but you might have a harder time getting it from him. I feel a stock GENIII engine will put up 100K no problem, just maintain them.
