Jaimo
My 2003 SSS has the auto climate control. Now with weather getting cold I like getting in to a nice warmed up truck. So i fire SSS up let it run put the auto climate temp at 80*and walk away for few minutes. When i come back the heater has not kicked on or anything. But when i put the SSS in gear the heater fires right up. Is this normal??? And is there a way to override this?? So I can get into a nice warm SSS. KissMySilvSS
sounds like some kind of short to me , you don't have the heater on AUTO by any chance do you? Could be that also.
Jaimo
One time i did have it on auto. But another time I pushed the defrost button and it still never turned on. Until I take the truck out of park.
KissMySilvSS
It sounds like you may have a blower resistor going bad? I would take it to the dealer and see what they think.
riddle
Do You have any aftermarket things like remote start? alarm, may be contributing? I have never run into that problem? I've seen very bizare things happen with aftermarket stuff like remote starts though? ~Danny

CoolBlueSS
I always set mine on auto, and it kicks on when the engine gets warn enough. It's been in the 40s in the mornings here, so it's hot within a couple of miles.
Jaimo
The truck is bone stock. Like I said before the heater works fine. It just does not kick on until I put the truck in to gear when I let it sit and warm up for few minutes.
BILLS04SS
That sounds odd to me. I had a problem with my resistor blowing out 2 times in my blower motor. But your claiming it works fine when you put it in drive??

But your claiming it works fine when you put it in drive?? Exactly. Once I take it out of park the blower motor kicks right on. I 'm lost on this one.
