Auto Climate Control.

My 2003 SSS has the auto climate control. Now with weather getting cold I like getting in to a nice warmed up truck. So i fire SSS up let it run put the auto climate temp at 80*and walk away for few minutes. When i come back the heater has not kicked on or anything. But when i put the SSS in gear the heater fires right up. Is this normal??? And is there a way to override this?? So I can get into a nice warm SSS.

Do You have any aftermarket things like remote start? alarm, may be contributing? I have never run into that problem? I've seen very bizare things happen with aftermarket stuff like remote starts though?

That sounds odd to me. I had a problem with my resistor blowing out 2 times in my blower motor. But your claiming it works fine when you put it in drive??

Exactly. Once I take it out of park the blower motor kicks right on. I 'm lost on this one.
