6.0sleeperVHO
That's nuts!! Not sure if it would look right on the truck though since we have the door frames that wrap around the windows. But I guess anything is possible. BOB47
"Eliminates door dings" Eliminates me from dinging anyone elses doors but doesn't help with all the morons with regular doors and no sense. Also, gotta wonder how it works when you've got 600lbs of ice and snow frozen on the bottom of the car. Cool idea though. Would make parking in my garage much easier. Fireman31
wow i never even thought about have to work an accident involving a car with those doors... just another bump in the road like hybrid/alternative fuel vehicles and airbags everywhere.............a situation like that you go right for the roof and remove it

Fireman31
use the jaws of life? (thats what we call it here) We have both Holmatro and Hurst in my FD........in a situation like that the easiest way to extricate a patient with doors like that is to take the roof off..........don't even waste time trying to spread against those actuators(that is if the door(s) are pinned shut from the wreck and access is limited). No 2 acccidents are alike.
smoke03
accidents are usually pretty bad when you have to use those, right?
Fireman31
accidents are usually pretty bad when you have to use those, right? not always, sometimes you need them just to pop a door thats pinned shut so you can remove the patient, minor accidents and minor injuries...........I take it you don't see many car accidents Edited December 12, 2007 by Fireman31 (see edit history)
smoke03
not alot...just always thought they were pretty bad if the doors were pinned shut....PLUS any accident is bad to me IMO
