Drew30
i'm not pushing a lot, but I started noticing my lights starting to dim the other night on the way home from work... In past vehicles i've always used caps, but a lot of the guys at work are telling me a second battery is the way to go, I'm just wondering how practical that would be with my system, it's only a 300 watt mono amp right now, I'm running a yellow top battery right now
smoke03
im running a 750.1 and a 400 watt and my lights were dimming so I put a 1 farad cap on and it helped with the lights dimming. With your application I would say that a cap would be the route to go. Now im sure there are gonna be some audio gurus in here saying that you would just need a second battery but for such a small amp I probably wouldnt put a second battery in. I have 2 amps and im getting ready to do a dual battery set-up.
NightCreeperSS
I used a 250 amp alternator ,3 fared cap, and a optimo battery. But I was running 1000 rms amp to 2 12" rockford p3
Drew30
eventually I want to put in a multi channel amp, but nothing big, i was thinking between 450-600watts... just something to help the system be a little louder than my exhaust drone.. lol... i was looking at some options, there are car audio power cells, basically small batteries for car audio... how reliable are those??
