Vortec MAX
When I was installing my Dynatech SuperMAXX system, I noticed that the passenger side header almost touched the frame rail. I "adjusted" it by putting a piece of wood against the frame rail, and another piece against the collector and prying them apart. It seemed to move a bit to where I had 1/4" clearance or so. Now, after several heat/cool cycles, that side has crept closer to the frame rail again. I now have 1/8" of clearance. I am not really happy with this. Is this normal. Does anyone else have this small amount of clearance? Will it hurt anything? By the way, I seem to have some fracturing of the Jet-Hot coating on a couple of the down pipes on that side now. I am wondering if it occured because I pryed on the header trying to get clearance. I hope not. Thanks in advance. Mike

Badkarma
Headers and frames have always been "close" friends since the start of hotrodding lol.
