2004Denali
hi guys -like the title says...i need a transfer case. Mine "humped" out from wheelspin in the snow. Anyone got one to unload? sorry to high jack your thread but can you explain exactly what happened? these transfer cases are pretty strong but I worry about mine breaking. I am pushing over 800 ft lbs of torque through mine and it is holding up. I have a spare just in case mine goes Boom. Mark

Mark no spectacular failure...its just worn out the viscous coupler after 115k miles. Hard to get too upset about it as we have used the truck to tow a race car quite a bit, and for lots of trips to snow country. they have a finite amount of slip in their lifespans, and i have reached the end...when the case is hot...after long freeway drives...it clunks like an old auburn diff without friction modifier.
