orion :: SS Posted May 10, 2008 Report Share Posted May 10, 2008 Just for the sake of comparison...my 20x8.5" Weld wheels (forged) weigh 24lbs each. 50lb shipping weight for 2 (with the box, of course), and confirmed at ~24lbs each on a scale. So there are *light* forged wheel in large sizes out there. - Brian Yes there are, but not in 22" diameter; my Centerline 20's are 26-lbs each, chromed. Pretty-much all Centerline 20's will weigh between 25-30 pounds depending on center hub styling and whether they are plated or raw. The 22's are going to weigh a lot more not only because of the hub but also because the rim is 10" wide instead of 8.5. Also remember that tire weight is substantial, 22" tires are HEAVY, if you're going to go with 22's the best you can hope for is that the rims + tires will weigh nearly the same as stock 20's & Goodyears.
