chromedubtwo
not sure if this is correct spot to post but plan on buying a 6X10 dump trailer 7000 gvwr and I need to install electronic brake controller per dealer. He advised me of a pig tail to hook into in my glovebox. Now I may be blind but I can't see one. I have an 03 ss. Has anyone ever installed a controller before thanks
Vortec MAX
The pig tail plugs into the fuse box under the driver's side dash. Behind the parking brake release area. Mike
mightbstock
if your vehicle is equipped with the tow package it should have come with one. When I bought my Sierra there wasn't one in the glove box, so I made sure the dealer gave me one before I left the lot.
FwyFlyr
You'll need a fuse also
12'SROCK
all trucks with the tow package have a pigtail harness in the glove box that plugs right in the fuse box under the driverside dasdh (no extra fuse required) then the lose end wires connect to the electronic brake controller harness, its really easy

03blueSSon22s
I bought mine truck used and i didnt have that wire. I was able to buy the wiring that all i had to do is plug it in went right from the panel to the controller with no wire splicing or anything. I think it took me maybe ten min. to hook mine up.
